Showcasing Earth Tone Color Palette + Jewel Tones in Bridal Photography
I partnered up with Michelle Whitley Photography on a simple bridal portrait session, inspired by a bohemian lace wedding dress and a simple boho chic wedding photography in the park. I've realized that I kept waiting on the perfect time to blog about this winter wedding inspiration, so it just sat there. This last minute photoshoot was planned within forty eight hours with few of my sweetest friends. One of my projects had been cancelled, and in order to make use of the precious time, I'd put together a small team to create this inspiration. The weather was still really cold and windy outside, so we had to take frequent breaks to warm up! Lighting the candles were out of the question. Despite all the hiccups, we were able to create something pretty. This inspiration board is meant to display an earth-tone color palette, mixed in with jewel tones and various textures for a boho chic flare. Wedding photographer Michelle did a beautiful job with capturing the bridal portrait details in film. As a wedding coordinator and event planner, I strive to cater to brides who appreciates artistically styled details and fine art photography.
The simplicity of a boho bride in her natural glow and open-back, bohemian lace wedding dress
We are featuring our stunning model bride Anastasia and one of the cascading wedding dresses by Allure Bridals from Posh Bridal Boutique. I love an open-back wedding dress for it's feminine feel, and the sweeping train on this dress adds to the flowy lace material! I paired the dress with elegant and neutral accessories for a classy feel. Even for South Asian attires that involve a Sari (also called Saree or Sharee), I admire the beautiful craftsmanship that goes into creating a perfectly open-back blouse design that fits just right. Design it with an intricate lace work, and I’m sold!
To show off that alluring back and for a bohemian bridal hair inspiration, Mahmuda Islam created a braided wedding hair style with loose curls. Whenever you think of bohemian, do you imagine real or faux floral headbands or bridal hairstyles with flowers? I sure do. A floral wedding headpiece accentuates the boho bride look and it certainly added to our bride's overall look. To give our bride a soft and natural wedding makeup, I called on our lash artist from Pretty Girls Make Faces. They do lash extensions and no longer offer bridal makeup, but when you call upon a friend, kindness happens! The white and magenta crystal earrings paired with a three-stone sapphire engagement ring complemented the overall color scheme. Now considering how cold it was outside, a faux fur ombre luxury wrap was only fitting to keep our bride warm and snuggly throughout the session. If you are a winter bride getting bridal portrait photos done outside, I would recommend a winter wrap to keep you warm and cozy. If paired right, it can be perfect for your entire wedding party.
A DIY wedding bouquet
For flowers, if an organic and budget DIY wedding bouquet makes you jump on your toes, then we are all for it. We have a maroon and dusty rose wedding flower bouquet mixed with shades of blue and sapphire ribbon. Any thoughts on this effortlessly bohemian bouquet?
A cozy sophistication and laid-back mood board layered with jewel and earth tone colors, textures, and Moroccan details
I did a picnic-like lounge setup with furniture pieces and textiles from Something Vintage Rentals. A mood board for something simple, cozy, and warm and also perfectly fitting for an intimate wedding, elopement wedding, backyard wedding ideas, or even backyard bridal showers. A jewel toned Turkish rug, also referred to as a burgundy and blue Moroccan rug, was paired with luxury velvet pillows, moroccan fringe pillows, and braided textured pouf to match the wedding theme. The cool colors, such as the blue, gray, and cream tones, played well with the rich color of burgundy. The wood tones and various textures along with the clay colors bring everything down to earth against the natural greens.
The classic peacock chair - a hand woven beauty - is the statement prop. I would use this wicker chair for bridal showers, baby showers, and even take it along with me for home decor purposes. One of the creative ways, to incorporate some of your wedding decor items towards decorating your new home as newly weds, is to find pieces that can transition from one function or purpose to the next! The styling of the rattan chair with floral and eucalyptus leaves added to the laid-back beauty of the bohemian vibe. When taper candles are used strategically among various other decor elements, they offer dimension and accentuate the mood. The wooden taper candle holders with brass detailing were a steal from Target! They also go perfectly with the color palette when mixed in with blue taper candles. Using thoughtfully curated wedding details and textures is key. Would you opt in for edible wedding favors, dessert or food display, donut wedding cake, or all of the above?
Are there any events that doesn’t include food? I sure hope not! When you are planning your wedding with your wedding planner, would you consider having a cheese and fruit display as wedding appetizers? Whether it's an intimate party, an event at home, or a wedding event, I’m always down for cheese + fruit platters! How about a fruit basket in your bridal suite for your bridal party when you are getting ready together before your wedding ceremony? How about for the groom's party? You can add fruits to your wedding reception food display or to your dessert table display. Talking about desserts, what do you think of a donut wedding cake served with real or edible florals on a wedding cake stand? My husband would take a donut cake any day! Donuts styled with fresh florals cater to those who have both a sweet tooth and also an appetite for pretty! Donuts cakes will continue to be big in 2018. How about edible wedding favors? Would you consider mini donut wedding favors? Even with donuts, the possibilities are endless!
This bohemian bridal inspiration fosters the natural element and beauty of simplicity. I hope you find inspiration to get you thinking about your wedding details, your bridal portraits or wedding day photography from this inspiration board! Thank you so much for reading.

Having a minimalist wedding means you’ve created something highly personal by subtracting all the unnecessary stuff in favor of adding things that mean something to you . Thank you for sharing such a great ideaevent place
