Spending Long Weekend in MD + DC
Good Friday and long weekend is here with some sunshine and warmer days. Who can complain! My little niece has been running around the house... making everyone hunt Easter eggs that she hid under and around all the furniture. She made some easter craft and played egg hunting games with other kids in school, so she brought home a pretty little Easter basket to continue the fun. She got me excited to explore some of the events that are taking place in the community. There are lots of Easter Egg hunt events and activities taking place in Maryland + Washington, DC this weekend. We don’t celebrate Easter, but in terms of decor for your Easter brunch or activities to do right at home, here are few pretty things that caught my attention:
How gorgeous and creative is this Easter-inspired Centerpiece sitting pretty on Southern Living? I have two fish bowls, from my own wedding, that I occasionally use to create centerpieces for my parties. So, as soon as I saw this garden centerpiece made of fresh produce and flowers, it immediately got my attention.
These pretty Mini Lemon Flower Tarts by Kid and Kin that looks too pretty to eat. I'll definitely have to give this recipe a try. These nifty little String Egg Treat look too fun and cute. I've seen this twine + string method being used for making yarn lanterns, or hanging decor, but this is a crafty twist to semi-concealing the candy. Now for an impromptu dessert fix and a little easter vibe, cupcakes are a super quick and easy option. Once I made these mini red velvet cupcakes at-home, topped with some cream cheese, milk-chocolate eggs, and some chocolate sprinkles, for a baby-shower. They look pretty fitting for an Easter theme party right about now.
Have a good time with your family and friends, you guys. I know I'll be spending an ample amount of time with all my families and definitely enjoying the sunny Saturday! Thank you for sticking around, you pretty people!

Nusrat, I love this post! The carrot centerpiece was very unique, and so timely, given the many bunnies that will be looking for their favorite meal this weekend. I also thought the string egg treat was very clever, and I enjoyed watching the video. I wasn't too sure what the solution was, that they dipped the string in. Was it starch, or an edible product?
